Kimble Law was formed by attorney Curtis G. Kimble in order to offer HOA services more effectively and efficiently than is possible at other firms where clients may be just a number or dollar sign. At Kimble Law, without big firm overhead and red tape, your legal services are streamlined and affordable. Without your issue being passed from one attorney to another attorney or legal assistant, you get services performed directly by an experienced HOA attorney.

Mr. Kimble is the creator of the Utah HOA Law Blog, as well as the Utah HOA Laws mobile app and website. He has been providing valuable, comprehensive and cost-effective representation for community associations in Utah since 2006.

Prior to forming Kimble Law PLLC, Mr. Kimble worked at Ball Janik LLP as Senior Counsel. Before joining Ball Janik, he was a partner at Richards, Kimble & Winn, PC, representing community associations throughout the state of Utah.

Mr. Kimble’s practice is focused on establishing and advising condominium and homeowner associations, including providing counsel and representation in all issues an HOA faces, such as drafting and interpreting governing documents and contracts, procedure and governance, insurance, HOA loans, FHA certification, enforcement issues, litigation and Fair Housing Act issues. Mr. Kimble also provides general business and real estate counsel.

Mr. Kimble received the AV® Preeminent™ Rating from Martindale–Hubbell®, as well as the Client Distinction Award based on clients’ reviews by Lawyers.com, A Martindale-Hubble distinction, in 2015.

Mr. Kimble is a frequent speaker to community associations and their boards, including being a featured speaker at educational programs and seminars. His speaking engagements cover a wide range of topics such as HOA Limitations, Indemnifying Board Members, HOA Case Law, Common Area Maintenance versus Capital Improvements, Hot Topics for Community Associations and Social Media in Community Associations.

Mr. Kimble has authored many articles as well as a blog dedicated to providing legal insight and commentary on community association issues. Mr. Kimble is a member of the national organization Community Associations Institute (CAI), and is a member of its local Utah chapter, UCCAI. Prior to joining Richards Kimble & Winn, PC, Mr. Kimble was general counsel from 2005-2006 for USA-ALL, an organization dedicated to motorized recreation on public lands in Utah. He also appealed major land use designations of the Federal Government in 2005-2006, including the Bureau of Land Management, in order to assure open access to our public lands in Utah.

Mr. Kimble is a member of the Utah Bar Association and of the Community Law Section of the Utah Bar. He graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2002, where he was a fellow and founding student member of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology Law. He received a B.A. degree in English, with a minor in business at the University of Utah in 1998.
